Millions of bright young women around the world are unable to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities because they do not have access to information and services about sexual and reproductive health. In Kakuma which host refugees from Somali, Burundi, Rwanda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, DR Congo etc. population is nearly 185000. more than a quarter of girls have given birth and/or are pregnant between the age of 13 and 23 yrs due to lack of accurate information about their sexual reproductive health and becoming pregnancy during this phase forces girls to drop out school, put young mothers at higher risk of maternal death, increase financial burden and leads to poor health outcome for babiesGirls have right to information about their health and education and they are a force for building community-wide culture that is supportive of human right and gender equalityMany young people are entering their reproductive phase and we must arm them with accurate information and tools to protect their health and plan their future.
